Now we will make talk bubbles for our characters. There are allready made custom shapes in Adobe Photoshop CS, that we can help ourselves with. Select the Custom Shape tool, (you bill probably have Rectangle Tool on it's place).
Now you will probably be presented with the default shapes, which do not include Talk Bubbles. Therefore you have to select Talk Bubbles yourself (see image below)
4. Talk Bubbles
Here are the Talk Bubbles you will get to choose from. Choose the shape you like the most and set the color to white.
Make a seperate layer for each talk bubble you draw so you will later be able to change it's size and shape. On the picture below you can see Layer 1 and Layer 2, each containing one talk bubble. You can see the actual talk bubbles on the last picture of this page.
You will then want to modify the bubbles a little to fitt the scene. To modify the bubble select it's layer and then Edit -> Transform -> Scale (Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical). I have fliped Joaquin Phoenix's bubble horizontaly and verticaly.
